The Village Maid public house is a freehouse in the heart of the village of Bradfield.
It was re-opened in September 2011, after being closed for almost two years.
Walkers are most welcome at the Village Maid, the picturesque Essex Way is only five minutes
walk away and the lovely town of Manningtree is three miles north.
We serve a variety of beers and lagers, including London Pride and regular changing guest
beers.
The Village Maid also offers a superb daily menu, head chef, Lee Merchant, bases this
selection of fine fare on fresh, home cooked food with traditional values.
We are served by a regular bus service to and from Harwich, Manningtree and Colchester,
with a bus stop right outside the pub.
We like to advertise that we have no pool table, no television, no games machines and no
loud music.
A lovely log burner will warm you in the winter months
Come along to the Village Maid and meet Sharon and Bill, who will give you a warm welcome.
