The Village Maid public house is a freehouse in the heart of the village of Bradfield. It was re-opened in September 2011, after being closed for almost two years.

Walkers are most welcome at the Village Maid, the picturesque Essex Way is only five minutes walk away and the lovely town of Manningtree is three miles north.

We serve a variety of beers and lagers, including Woodfordes Wherry and regular changing guest beers.

We do not serve food, but customers are welcome to order take aways and eat in the pub, plates and cutlery supplied.

A regular bus service to and from Harwich, Manningtree and Colchester, stops right outside our pub.

We have a pool table, dart board and a fruit machine for customer use.

A lovely log burner will warm you in the winter months
